I've stayed here a few times recently while working at ECSU. July 27-28, no problem, Aug. 1-5, no problem, Aug. 8-12, no problem.
But last night, Aug. 16, room #103 was a different story. I didn't see the bedbugs but found numerous bites later in the day on the 17th, some in little rows as bedbugs do. I actually checked the mattresses as I usually do the first couple of stays but then thought I was in the clear so I stopped looking.

Called the hotel to see if there had been any bedbug reports since the 2008 report seen on this website and there was an incident that occurred just last week on 2/20/11. The precautionary measures that were taken were not up to standard, all that was done was a strip down of linens and a spray throughout the room. Needless to say I was staying there starting tomorrow for work & will NOT be staying there anymore after finding this out.

Best Western Regent Inn on 09/25/2008

Checked into room 106 of the Best Western Regent Inn in Mansfield Center, CT on September 24, 2008. While getting ready for bed I noticed live bed bugs on the pillow and mattress. The room had twin beds and one bed had been stripped bare of the covers. Further inspection of the bare mattress revealed the presence of more live bed bugs. This leads me to believe the hotel staff was aware of the infestation and rented the room regardless. I notified the concierge, my money was refunded and I l
