The bed bugs are a big problem. The management is abusive. The lies and denial of their problem was handled with zero compassion or remorse. I was completely shocked about my experience. And discusted with the management that should be fired.

I have been staying at the motel 9 for over a month. When I first arrived, I was moved to a room in the downstairs area. The room I was in seemed okay at first, that was until water started leeking from the cealing and paint chips began to fall on my bed while I was sleeping.
Fortunately, I was moved to another room. However this room had a bigger problem; it was infested by bed bugs. My girlfriend and I would wake up in the middle of the night, scratching. We would see these nasty little cri

tters crawling away hastily. Most of my nights here have been spent flipping my matress, looking for bedbugs of all sizes. Once I feel a bite, I just can't sleep comfortably. I feel these things creeping on my skin.
One day, I went and bought some off repellant, but it didnt deter these creatures.
Time and time again, I flipped my matress, seeking and destroying these things. I even saw the white little eggs.
I have informed the manager, but she doesn't seem to give a rip.
She has told me on several occasions that she would take care of the problem, but nothing has been done.
Last friday, I payed my rent of 160 a week, and by sunday morning, I was ready to move out. When I went to explain to her that I was going to be needing my money back, she told me that she went to the bank already and that she doesn't keep any cash on her, and that their were no refunds.
Yesterday she said she was going to bomb the place today, but nothing happened. No bug spray, no bomb, nothing.
So, tonight, after being attacked again, I have taken the mattress and boxspring and placed it outside. I will be so glad when this week is over with and I can find a place where I can actually sleep without being fed upon.

I arrived Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at approximately 11 a.m. I was informed that a teneant had just been evicted and a room would be available as soon as the room was cleaned. I paid a week in advance and said I would return later after I had gotten something to eat. When I returned I was given a key to room 5A and began unloading my van. As I was unpacking I realized the floor had not been cleaned (dried vomit on the rug in a cornor), areas on the edge of the doors are filthy, black mold on

the ceiling of the shower, and the bed was broken in the middle.
I reported the bed to the office and was told a bed would be brought to me. This is now Friday January 29, 2010 and still no bed. I have not been able to lay down to sleep since arriving here and sleeping sitting up is not very restful. On top of this, I am now infested with bed bugs, my van is infested, my dog and cat are infested, my clothes are infested, I have spent a lot of money on trying to get rid of them, and the owner has still done nothing to assist me. The health department down the street said I have to throw everything away. I just spent thousands of dollars coming up from Texas, through California, Oregon, Utah, and now here...gathering information on my family tree and visiting my cousins (whom I have not seen in almost 50 years) that are still alive. I have been given heirlooms that cannot be replaced or duplicated... throwing them away is unthinkable.
Does not Colorado have a health inspection department for places like this? I do not know the names of the owner or the workers, if I did, I would certainly mention them here. In the two and a half months I have been traveling, and all the motels I have stayed in, this is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. Dear Bedbug Registry....you have my permission to let anyone in the whole world know about what has happened to me. Maybe Colorado will develop some pride and safegaurds against this happening to any other tourists or visitors. Next time I come to Colorado, if ever, I will be in a motor home, and will never, never, take the chance of staying in any of the motels or hotels.
