People, there are two different beings out there - bed bugs affect heavy transient hotels in big cities. Sonoma County is full of nature. Most bugs who attach people via their clothes are ticks who bite and look like bed bugs. Also remember hotels don't have bed bugs, its people who bring them in.

I just stayed there for one night in the end of July -- in the Chardonnay Wing. I usually stay in the rooms in the Cabarnet Wing, where I've had no problems. Funny that someone should mention they may have been bitten there in July, 2011. I got several bites that night, and found nothing crawling on me. As a precaution, I laundered and thoroughly dried everything in my suitcase, and everything that I had in the room. The suitcase got sprayed with disinfectant and treated with Eucalyptus oil, plu
s Bounce sheets (which are supposed to repel vermin and bugs). So far no more bites or bedbug problems I can find at home. Thank God. I'm not sure if I got bedbug bites, but SOMETHING chewed on me all night long at the hotel, this time.

I stayed here for business 5 times in the last 10 months anywhere from 2 -4 night. I was always treated well, and I would rate this a 3 star.
However, I just stayed this past week 7-11-11, and I could not get internet access. I had to phone AT&T for customer support. After about 25 minutes with their tech I was told this hotel had been having issues, and obviously was having issues again. When I called the lobby, they said, "Sorry about that, you are welcome to come to the lobby to work."
Are you serious?
The next night, I thought I felt something crawling on me. I was sleeping, so at first thought perhaps I dreamed this, and went back to sleep. About 20 minutes later, I felt like something was crawling on me, and sure enough I grabbed a bag bug on my arm.
I immediately jumped up and looked up a picture of a bed bug on line (AT&T fixed the internet issue that day), and sure enough it was bed bugs. I called the lobby and the girl said, maybe there was a mosquito in your room. I said, I killed it and it is still on the night stand, I cannot sleep in this room. She told me I would need to take it up with the manager in at 8:00 AM. By then I had to check out, I had a meeting.
I brought the bug home with me, in a zipped lock baggie, that I took off of a new shirt (I threw away the button and closed in the dead bug). I plan to take this bug to PSU entomology department to find out just what was crawling on me in the night.
I kept my suitcase and briefcase in my garage, and took the laundry to the washer in plastic bags, and put it right in. I literally hosed out my suitcase, any contents and my briefcase on the driveway with Dawn dish soap.
I am so upset about this!

I stayed at this hotel on business from November 7th 2010 thru November 17th 2010. I saw no bed bugs and experienced to affects due to bed bugs. I don't believe the other report to be accurate since many of my colleagues were also staying there and none of them reported any bed bug issues either.

My husband received approximately 50 bed bug bites July 28, 2010. We stayed for one night only.
