I was staying at this Motel 6 for work, and was scheduled to be there for about 10 days. I woke up on day 7 with welts covering my chest, neck, and face. Throughout the next 2 days, more welts began appearing all over my arms, back and ankles. I filed a report with the management, who were apologetic, but did admit that they have had problems in the past, with the most recent one being 3 and half months prior. They only treat the room that had the problem, so they will continue to have probl
ems. I found at least 3 other people online that have had a problem in the past year and a half and I suspect that I will not be the last.

I noticed a bug, approximately 3mm in length in my bed (room 248), which my roommate killed and found to be engorged with blood. Later in the day bites began to appear on my body and by the evening, I was well covered with bites that were swelling and were extremely irritated. After dinner, upon return to my room, I examined my bed and found another bug in my bed. I called over another friend to verify, and we went together to notify the front desk.
Shawn, one of the fron
t desk attendants came with us to my room to verify the existence of the insect in my bed. Shawn was the first to promise a refund of the room charges and found us another room to occupy for the night of the 19th.
I had a severe allergic reaction to the bites and ended up in the doctors and had to take a steroid shot.
I'm fighting them to get my refund as of now (2 weeks later). Their claims department is very rude.
