I stayed in room #724 On the week of the 28th of October. I stayed in the room for 3days and was completely eaten up by bed bugs. I wasn't sure what was going on until the last morning I woke up and saw one on my pillow. I packed up all my belongings and reported it the hotel staff. They apologized, took my name and number but offered me nothing. A week later I received a call from the hotel manager who informed that a technician had been to the hotel and did indeed find bedbugs in the room I st
ayed in. He then offered me Marriot rewards points but I couldn't accept them because I didn't have a marriot card. He then offered to pay for my dry cleaning provided I brought him my receipts. In my opinion, the staff should have done more to apologize for the bug problem. I will not be staying at the Oakland Marriot again. PERIOD.
