Bed bugs! Didn't see any, but the bites appeared after two days. (Apparently normal for bed bug bites.) We probably didn't see any because we were awaking early, leaving quickly, and returning late every day. My doctor confirmed they were bed bug bites when I returned home and had to get steroids to clear symptoms.
Called hotel (we had already checked out but were still in CA), and the woman blew me off. I was just trying to let them know, not berate them.

After a long day at Yosemite, my wife and I checked into the Comfort Inn on Sept 22. When I awoke in the morning, I found a fully mature bed bug on the bathroom floor on a towel. I showed this to the hotel staff. They were gracious and very apologetic, and gave us a discount on the room, and allowed us out our two-night stay commitment.

We checked in at night in early Sept 2010. After taking bath we went to bed because we were really tired after the visit to Yosemite. Then the nightmare came. We felt itchy in our arms and necks. We got up and checked our beds. See what, a small bed bug was crawling to escape. We further checked the pillow and found three more big bed bugs, all full of blood in their body. Terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We asked the front desk to change our room. Fortunately the new room was so far not invaded by bed
bugs. It was already 12:30am at night. We barely had sleep. The bitten marks are still on my arm. I would never stay in this kind of "hotel" again. It did nothing but ruin our journey. Stay away.
