I stayed here on 9/16/14 and had a severe case of bed bugs with 10 bites in the 1 night I was there. It was so bad I had to go to the doctor and it turns out I had an infection and had to take prescription drugs to get rid of it. The hotel is in horrible shape and they claim it is a rare and isolated incident but I find this hard to believe. They were not concerned when I told the front desk in the morning and I had to push them to investigate and help with dealing with the hassle. They didn't g
et the inspector there until the next day and when they did he confirmed it (I have a copy of the report). They were not willing to replace anything and only willing to clean my stuff (which I had already taken with me since it was a day later and risked spreading the bed bugs). They made it difficult and had me go to their preferred location (I had to make 3 trips). The "cleaning" of my new and expensive suitcase beat it up so it now looks quite old. The hotel general manager has been horribly slow to respond to me and after waiting weeks he has stopped responding again. They are not even willing to cover the doctor bill and their offer of compensation for the physical harm was a joke. I highly recommend you never stay here, there are plenty of alternatives nearby and it just isn't worth the risk even if the room is free.

I found a bedbug crawling accross my bed the morning after I had stayed at the Long Beach Hilton. I trapped it under a cup and showed it to the hotel management. They acknowledge that it was a bedbug and comped me my room. They also paid for a replacement clothes and suitcase. They were very amenable about the whole thing, but I will not stay there again.
