I stayed april of 2010 with my sister and two kids and niece. The hotel had just gone through renovations. I was in one of the two king suites. There was no bed bugs in our room. After hearing someone talk about them I decided to ask the concierge desk what they do to keep them away. concierge told me that they check regualarily and take any form of complaint seriously and make sure it is taken care of immediately. I was really worried because my youngest was an infant. We found nothing an
d if you find bugs there the service is amazing and I am sure they would be able to compensate. I was once told to ask a hotel to move your room and dryclean all your luggage and clothing that was brought in. Hope this helps.
On behalf of Hyatt Regency Orange County, please allow me to reach out to you regarding your stay
at our property. We take every report of bed bugs very seriously. Once we learned of your concerns, we immediately removed the room from service and contacted a nationally recognized pest control expert to conduct a thorough examination of your guestroom. We stayed at the hotel over the Christmas Break 2008. We moved from our original room to a new room as there was a very strong chemical smell in first room. Woke next morning to a bite on my wrist, didn't think much about it. Woke second morning to find bites all over my arm (we have pictures)and bites across my son's chest (he was sleeping in the same bed). When I got out of bed I saw a bug crawling across the sheets. Killed it, lots of blood. Took it down to the front desk, we didn't kno
w what it was but the front desk said they would move us. Two nights later the manager sent one dessert @ 10:20 PM (there are 4 of us) with a note of apology. We didn't research until we returned home to find out it was bed bugs! Yuck!!! Left our suitcases out on our Canadian deck (very cold) and had no additional problems.
I stayed at the hotel, room 907. I arrived on June 23, 2009 and left on June 27, 2009. On the first night of my stay, I woke up with itching in the middle of the night. The next day I noticed the marks on my legs and feet as well as parts of my arms. I reported this to the hotel (I have pictures of the bites). They performed an inspection of the bedding and matteress and I was told they found nothing in the bed area. However, it wasn't until the last day that we received a report of this, a
nd in fact, I had to ask to see the manager so we could get an account of the report. No one called the following day or thereafter to check on this situation.
The housekeeping manager informed me that if they found anything subsequent to our stay, she would contact me to let me know.
