I didn't realize there was a registry for bed bugs or I would have reported sooner. This was a horrific experience. First of all the room smelled oddly sweet. I even looked for a room deodorizer of some kind of plug in. Little did I realize this was a sign of a bad bed bug infestation. It was till morning that I looked at the bed when the sun was shining in and saw the spots, everywhere. I also saw a bed bug crawling under the sheets. When I lifted the mattress I saw the black blood
spots everywhere. I was disgusting. Of course they denied apron like but I got out of there fast. I had to wash everything in hot water and had to steam all my luggage. A day later I had itch spots on my arms.

Woke up in the middle of the night had bites on my left arm and on my right shoulder and neck area. Turned on the light and informed the front desk. They said that there were no other rooms available to move me to and that someone would contact me at seven a.m.to write up a report. Hung up the phone and saw a bug crawling on my bed. I killed it with a tissue and it was fill of blood. Room 340.

On Aug 25, 2012 I arrived for an overnight stay at the Extended Stay America in room 229 and awoke early the next morning itching from 3 bedbug bites just above and below my underwear. I went downstairs and explained this to the deak person on duty, and she was sympathetic, taking down all the info and told me to also email the manager to let him know (which I did). He immediately responded saying he "checked" and there were no bedbugs in that room. I guess it's my welts against his word.
