Took a nap on the bed beneath the sheets and spent the night May 27th at the Highlands Hotel. The following day my torso itched and I discovered half a dozen small red bites some slightly swollen from itching. Three in a cluster, three others about two to three inches apart and one further away on my side. So far no appearance on legs or arms.

I did not witness any bugs with my eyes since I was not expecting this encounter. However, I am taking precautions in case they have hitched a ride.
